The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry by Rachel Joyce
Harold Fry, a retired sales representative and beleagured husband of Maureen, gets an letter from an old friend, Queenie, who tells him she is dying of cancer. He decides to send her a letter, and then instead of mailing it suddenly takes it upon himself to walk 600 miles across England to deliver it to her. He sets off totally unprepared with no phone, no food and the wrong clothes for a long journey. As he walks he reflects on his life and his failings as a husband and a father.
